  • Come relax, enjoy the new member art that is up!

  • Youth Artist, Nathan Pfaff, fourteen-year-old ninth grade student who is home-schooled. He discovered his art medium one summer while doing yard work for a friend, who introduced him to a form of art called Zentangle. This is basically a stress relieving form of drawing that uses repetitive patterns.

  • Elizabeth “Edie” Carhart is the FRAA Artist of the Month! Edie was raised in Laguna Beach, California, which is a small town known as “The Artist Colony.” Graduating from high school with a Festival of Arts Scholarship Award, she then attended the University of Idaho. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in textiles and fibers, and a Minor in Cultural Anthropology. She also served as a member of the Peace Corps for two years in the Caribbean as an Art Teacher and Program Art Developer. Carhart retired in 2005 from a career with the California and Montana State Parks and devoted her time to creating mixed media art with an emphasis on silk painting. After retiring to Florence with her husband three years ago, she became a member of FRAA, where she displays her work, and serves as a volunteer.

  • Both artists will be featured at a reception at FRAA on December 8th during the Second Saturday Art Walk from 3 – 5 p.m. The community is invited to come and meet these two talented artists, while enjoying holiday refreshments.
